Manhattan Released

I find Manhattan to be beautiful, unique, and symbolic of the human spirit. As an experiment, I traveled by foot through each and every neighborhood in Manhattan to photograph the “streets”, beginning at the Statue of liberty and up to the northern tip of Inwood. Throughout my journey, I found a diverse cityscape that varies in flavor based on the local. As I continued this journey, I began exploring the themes of nature, home and the American dream within the urban landscape.

Thousands of images have been distilled into a short sequence that illustrate our need for expression, faith, and a yearning for something less tangible using documentary-style photography. The final images were printed as saddle stitch booklets and published in April 2021.
